Hi All,

iam having Connection Problems on installing subeclipse in Myeclipse 7.5:
..
HTTP CONNECT failed with response: 403
…

I checked the Proxy Settings on an older Myeclipse version (6.0), it is working.
I could install Mylyn in this version without any problems.

What is the Problem in 7.5?

Hallo,

i am behind a PROXY, as i said installing from plugins works fine in 6.0 for me, with the proxy settings i use.

Of cource i followed the steps from the link you mentioned above.

I tried also from the Myeclipse catalog, but Myeclipse ist hanging for ever on validating the plugin Profile with the message: “Resolving and validating the profile …”
The Hep size ist ok: 143M of 236M.
In the myeclipse.ini file i use -Xmx1024m

Could you please, help to clear this issue?

I solved this Problem on Setting the Proxy on the Pulse explorer too.
This seems to me not clear. Way i need to set the proxy in Pulse too when
it has already been set in Myeclipse? Myeclipse is the interface to plugin updates
isn’t it?

By the way Myeclipse 7.5 starts extremly slow.

The proxy has to be set in the pulse explorer because you add all the plugins using Pulse, so Pulse is the one that needs to know about proxy stuff.
