I’m using MyEclipse 3.8.4+QF2 with Eclipse 3.0.2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. Why is MyEclipse making connections to iits01120.inlink.com? What information is it gathering? Why are they being left in CLOSE_WAIT status? I don’t see anything in my firewall log files blocking related packets. Is this a bug where MyEclipse is not properly closing connections?

When I do netstat -vatn, I see the following:
tcp 0 0 192.168.1.12:33009 209.135.140.120:80 CLOSE_WAIT

Then when I do lsof -i : 33009 I see the following (sensitive information has been xxx’d out):

iits01120.inlink.com is an alias for the MyEclipse website, if you have automatic updates checked in the update manager this would cause this as well as having the Webbrowser view open since it’s default page is the MyEclipse homepage.
