Lacking documentation, could you ask your image editor guru how to do the following?
I want to create a GIF which will be used as a button in a JavaScript editor. The image will be on a transperant background. I want a red circle with a white horizontal bar (this is similar to a road sign which tells drivers not to enter the road). I then want to place yellow text “V1” centered in the circle.
This is driving me nuts. I can get the red circle, then the white horizontal bar.
But when I try to create the text, the text is placed in the top left corner. I try to select the text “object” to move it, but what I get is a transperant “V1” where the text was, and just a moving outline where I want the text moved to. I cannot seem to get the text placed.
And the image preview does not show a preview! It only shows a file which is already saved to disk, not what the editor is doing. So when I am editing a 64×64 pixel image, I see a greatly enlarged editing image, but no preview of what the image will look like in its native resolution.
The properties does not show the bit size of the image (ie: 64 x 64 or 256 x 256).
Any help would be appreciated.
