    i’m using mobi 1.5.

i stored an image directly in the /images folder.

Then i replaced it and now i get an image-modified – overwrite? prompt.

    i understand that.

Looks like mobi stores a private copy somewhere.

How do i get it not to show me the prompt any more.

-i.e. replace the source file that the mobi is keeping somewhere.

Presently the .mobi file imports an image file for widgets such as custom button, panel, image, … and stores it in the corresponding .mobi design file. This enables .mobi files to be used in a semi file-system independent manner. Internally the code generation facility detects when a file in the export directory is newer than the design file from which the code was generated. In such cases the Design Center warns you that it will overwrite the independently modified resource, e.g., your newer image.

To make this File Overwrite Warning go away simply update your design file to reference the newer version of the image file — you may have to completely delete the image file property in the Properties View and then reenter the path.
