    This is a minor one…

When I select a couple of lines in a JSP file and press the tab key to indent the selected lines (or shift+tab to outdent), the editor indents content below the selected area as well.

This only happens when multiple lines are selected at once.

Here are the specs for my setup:

    JDK: Sun J2SDK build 1.4.2_02-b03
    Eclipse: M6, buildid 200312182000
    MyEclipse: buildid 200401011200-3.7RC2
OS: Fedora Core 1 Linux, kernel: 2.4.22-1.2174.nptl

    Regards
    Erik

    Erik,
Thank you for pointing this out, I will double check with Scott/Michael internally but we had a lot of reports of poor tabbing support and I believe the internal GA build has all these corrected. But just to make sure, I”ll forward your report on.

I’m unable to replicate this behavior with the pre-GA JSP editor we’re testing internally so I believe whatever issue there was in RC2 has been corrected as a result of some of the other work. Thanks for taking the time to report it so we could verify the fix.
