Is it possible to install your Enterprise Workbench on Eclipse 3.0 ?
The install did not execute, it looked for an older version of Eclipse.
After working for 2 years with IBM’s WSAD I do miss the J2EE features on the current Eclipse version,

    Thanks,

    Marina,

We have a version of MyEclipse (version 3.6.2) for Eclipse 3.0M3, but it is available only to members that have purchased an upgraded subscription to MyEclipse. The functionality is identical to the 2.6.2 version we have available for trial. We don’t consider the Eclipse 3.0M3 build stable enough for production use so we will only address support questions on it from our subscriber base due to the increased overhead it causes us. It’s the only way we can maintain our current price point. Thanks for understanding.

    Scott,

    Thanks for your help.
Do you believe a stable version of Eclipse 3.0 will be available for non members too?

    Thanks,
    Marina

    Marina,

We have always viewed Eclipse Milestone builds as experimental/early-access software. In many cases API changes are incomplete and new bugs emerge between milestone releases that can be difficult for a MyEclipse3 user to discern as to whether the problem is MyEclipse related or a Eclipse 3 milestone problem. A company priority is to provide trial users the most positive evaluation experience as possible which at the present is based on MyEclipse 2.x. Thus, there are no plans to provide trial access to MyEclipse3 for the near future. Again that may change as the Eclipse3 milestones become more stable from a product developer and extension perspective.
