I know that MyEclipse 2013 on Juno is currently not supported but I’m willing to try and provide feedback. I do have a question and if the answer is “it’s not supported” that would be okay too.

I followed the instructions for installing MyEclipse 2013 on Juno (using the SR2 update site) and everything worked great. The only issue so far is that the Help menu does not have any of the MyEclipse indstall software options like ‘Install from Catalog”. It only has the default “Install New Software” and “Check for Updates”. Of course I can install the ‘Eclipse Marketplace” but I was looking for somthing a little more MyEclipse-ish. Is there some configuration I’m missing?

    markso,

I’m afraid the functionality you’re missing is part of the extras that can only work if you use the other installation technique (our installers) – we need quite a bit of additional configuration for those features to work, it’s not simply a question of adding more plugins to our update site.

Is there any reason why you prefer using the Update site technique instead of the installers? Would like to know.

    Thanks for asking.
