Hello! I have a serious problem installing myeclipse behind a proxy, that has implemented a inline-scanning for viruses in*.jar-Files. Problem is, that due security issues jar-files, that cannot be scanned (too big, directory-structure too many levels), may not be downloaded.
We have now found a solution to exclude the mirror-sites from scanning, however, we can either provide a list of ip-adresses or a list of domains. As we found out, by the pulse-installer, the request to the jar-files will be done with IP-Adresses, making it hard to provide a list of excluded sites….
    my questions.

    1) Can I use a dedicated mirror site in the Installation?
    2) Can I force the download-URLs to be “named” (domain-name used) and not using the IP-Adresses of the mirrors?

Thank you in advance for your Help!

    datasys,

I’m not sure either of these items are possible; however, I will check and get back to you.

In the meanwhile, is there any problem using the All-In-One installers that are available on our downloads page? Those will work completely without any network access.

Sorry – we don’t currently have an offline installer for MyEclipse for Spring, but our team is working on it. I will get back to you with an update on this ASAP.

I have downloaded the macosx version and the linux version of all-in-one version 7.5 a few times each, and the 8.5 time several times each. I even tried the pulse installer — all are corrupt downloads. Only once was I able to ungzip and the tar failed, all other the ungzip failed. Then I saw this thread…..I AM behind an untangle firewall that filters all traffic, AND between my machine and the UNTANGLE is a squid proxy (no filtering) I am assuming this is my problem? I will try to look through the untangle logs to see what is happening there. I will post any solutions I find….

I have found nothing in the untangle logs. Will experiment with not using squid and not using untangle…..

    mikepb,

Please ensure that the downloaded file size and md5sum matches that mentioned in the download page. If you are behind proxy, please ensure you setup proxy here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections. Let me know your findings after you disable squid and untangle.

Hi! is there any time estimation you can give me, when a first solution can be provided?
