    Hello all,

The installation is failing on our Fedora Core Linux 4 machine giving the following error towards the end of installation.

    Install action RPMSpecfile
    status:error
Additional note: error:There was a problem creating rpm package. you may not be running as root user or may not have installed rpm builder correctly.
    error: NullPointerException

It starts off the installation and towards the end it fails while giving the above error. We are at a loss as to why this error is happening. We have tried reinstalling myeclipse 4 times with twice on the root user too and 2 times on any user ID. We have kept the full access to all users and removed all restrictions.

Help is required on a very early basis.

Sorry you are running into this. You may just try and use the manual install when the installer has problem. It’s a download from the same page, and it’s just a ZIp file, you can unzip and then follow the instructions inside of the ZIP on how to install it inside of Eclipse.
