Installation of myEclipse 4.1 GA in ubuntu linux

hi,
I have downloaded EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1.1GA_E3.1.bin and tried to install in ubuntu 6.06 LTS. I got this error:

root@mani-laptop:/home/mani/Desktop# chmod +x EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1.1GA_E3.1.bin
root@mani-laptop:/home/mani/Desktop# ./EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1.1GA_E3.1.bin
Preparing to install…
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive…
Configuring the installer for this system’s environment…

Launching installer…

Exception in thread “main” java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/zerog/lax/LAX
root@mani-laptop:/home/mani/Desktop#

How should I resolve this problem. Please help!!

mpelmo,
The problem is that the installer is trying to use GCJ to run and cannot do it. Instead, download the manual install and follow the instructions included in the download. Sorry for the trouble, we hope to improve this in the future installers.
