Hi,
i have installed eclipse 3.1 and myelipse 4.0 m1 successfully, but the uml doesn’t work so i have tried do make the installation again. but after i haved unzipped eclipse i want to install myeclipse, after the unzipping of myeclipse, the installation abort without a message. i’am using WinNT 4.0
Are you using the manual installer or the platform specific one? Can you start eclipse with the -clean commandline option: ‘eclipse.exe -clean’?
The option: ‘eclipse.exe -clean’ is working without any problems. I use the double klick installation of myeclipse, InstallAnywhere is start but after 100% the windows is close and nothing more is go on.
The problem with the InstallAnywhere installer is likely that it is selecting an old VM to run with. You can set the VM to use manually use a specific VM as described here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-902-highlight-laxvm.html
Or, you can use the manual installation zip file (instructions are included within it).
