    Hi, there

We are evaluating our next generation IDE now, I am responsible for the myeclipse. I would like to ask about group member price, we have 4-6 developers here.

I am little bit confusing about the project creation of myeclipse, right now we manually build and deploy our project to oc4j by “ant”. I am trying to integrate our ant scripts to the myclipse. I tried to create an EJB project but it seems required its own directories, I would like to keep our directories and use ant scrips to build and deploy and debug jsp,EJB by myeclips, any suggestion?

    Thanks!

Let me answer these in a list of sorts:

    1) Sure you can use your own directories, Window->Preferences->MyEclipse->J2EE->Project Template, does this give you enough control over the key directories that you can get MyEclipse to recognize your project structure?
    2) You can continue to use your ant scripts, but as far as integrating them into the build process, I do not believe you can do that currently. You can take a look at the deployment tool and see if that does enough for you to handle deployment for your app currently.
    3) As far as price, its $29.99 a year, I don’t know if there is group pricing or not. But that comes out to roughly 8 cents a day, so it would cost you 40 cents a day for your developers to use MyEclipse, not too shabby 😉

Please let me know if you have more questions or need more detail, I’ll be happy to help.

I asked about the discount for groups and discounts start at 1000 licenses.

Actually, I know our management is pretty flexible on smaller orders but at $30/sub. the policy is that the order size needs to be in the 20+ count. You can contact them at subscriptions@genuitec.com.
