    edited by support-wayne, revised title
transferred the app to the device.

app is working – but the safari busy wheel animation is always on in the
noification bar (next to the time).

did not get any cache error.

    app working.

    any help?

Hmm! I’m not sure why the activity indicator is running continuously. Are you running iOS6?

so i guess we can forget this.

    thanks.

    p.s. appreciate the anti-spam effort.

reopened this topic based on private feedback that problem exists on some devices.

We tested your webapp across iphone5/ios6, iphone4/ios5 and ipad1/ios4. The webapp cached. I am wondering if the issue is with updating existing webapp cache and a specific version of iOS? Do you know if your users are having issue on iOS6?
I ran across this appcache discussion (scroll to last thread) http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12723846/how-to-home-screen-apps-and-offline-usage-on-ios-6-cache-manifest-obsolete

    thanks for the followup.

it happens sometimes and haven’t been able to replicate.

if i restart the phone it goes away.

in the support email, i sent you a message that i see in the
console window of desktop chrome browser – that could be
    a clue.

i’m testing on ios6 exclusively and it happens. i user has reported
    the problem.

i will look at that link you sent and get back to you.

am i to understand for that stackoverflow link that in ios6 – webapps
have their own storage and it suddenly getting deleted (by ios automatically
or user delete cookies button) – is NO longer the case.

    that’s good news.

getting back to the busy wheel – yes verified it does happen on ios6.

it might have to do with the fact it was cached pre ios6 – upgrade to ios6 and
then new release on top of the old cached version. now ios6 has it stored in
2 different places (i.e. pre ios6 and post ios6 in a separate place).

i start all my apps from the home-screen.

    my thoughts exactly.

i get this error message (in chrome browser) when jquery is being cached.

maybe something to do with this non-ending wheel?
