Hello,

i have seen your product today. I need to do the following with an app (running on iOS, device is ipod touch with camera):
1. create a photo from a sore with also a barcode on the photo (patient number) (hospital environment)
2. app should detect the barcode and extract the patient number
3. photo is stored on local storage on ipod device
4. if wlan and a server (ftp/samba) is available, the photo is uploaded to this server and file is something like yyMMddHHmm-patientnumber.jpg

If no wlan available the data is uploaded when wlan available or manual upload (additional button).

if barcode detection is hard to implement or not possible:
1. create photo from barcode (only barcode)
2. patient number is shown in textbox
3. user creates photos and then
4. they are uploaded the same way as above

Can we build such an application with MobiOne? Do we need to build a “full app”, so we need apple development account?

Maybe somebody has created a similar application?

Hi Marc,

The bar code scanning services are not includes with Mobione at this time. It is possible if you are familiar with the iOS or Android SDK and Cordova/PhoneGap plugins integration to manually build an application with a barcode scanner plugin.
