Sandeep MahariaMemberI selected the updates for 8.6 to 8.6.1 and also selected to install PMD plug-in. Updates were not successful, but I got an alert to restart my IDE and now it doesn’t work.
Below is what I’m getting in log. [I searched forum for similar issue and found that I need to run Pulse Explorer, but it is not very convinent to use, the only option I have is to remove it and install it again!!] is there any other solution to avoid this? I’m getting this for the 3rd time. Last time I got this issue when I installed ‘Subclipse’ plug-in..!!!SESSION 2011-01-05 15:23:05.938 ———————————————–

Did you select the updates for 8.6.1 and PMD plugin simultaneously?
First update to 8.6.1 and when it is successful then install the PMD plugin. Make sure the PMD plugin version is compatible with the base eclipse version of ME 8.6.
Can you please follow these steps to uninstall completely and then reinstall?
1. Run the uninstaller
2. Make sure the MyEclipse install directory is completely removed.
2.1. Pulse Install Directory, on XP it’s under C:\Program Files in \Pulse or \Genuitec, and on Vista it’s under <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as wellLet us know how it works for you.

Sandeep MahariaMemberI ran the same still not working seamlessly…
I re-installed and then installed Subclipse1.6 plugin, but it ran into the above mentioned issue.
Let me update to 8.6.1 and then install plug-ins..!! Installing on 8.6 is not working most of the time… -
