Is it true that in MyEclipse 5.01GA there is still no support for J2EE Application Client modules? Has anyone come up with a workaround?

    Thanks.

There was no direct support for them at this time and I’m not aware of it being asked for more than once or twice.

Reference for others, I believe this is what jarsen is asking about support for: http://chariotsolutions.com/geronimo/geronimo-1.0/client-j2ee.html

    Thanks, rkalla.

I’ve developed a workaround by building my J2EE client-based applications as Java projects and building and deploying them with Ant. It’s more work than using the MyEclipse deployment tools, like you can for Web-based applications, but it also forced me to really understand how the deployment descriptors work. So maybe that’s a good thing.

    Jarsen,
Thank you for the followup, I’m sorry it was a bit more manual labor, maybe this is something that might sneak it’s way in down the road.
