After I deploy and start a server for a web app, the jar file in the WEB-INF/lib directory cannot be deleted or overwritten, unless I close down eclipse altogether. I’m using tomcat 4.1.24 and a basic web app, jsp single page application. And i do stop the server, close and re-open the project, still doesn’t get closed. The only way to delete or overwrite is to close down Eclipse altogether.

    Thanks

Do you mean the WEB-INF/lib directory in the Eclipse workspace or in the deployment directory under the appserver installation?

Can you please provide the following information so we can try to replicate this situation:
    Operating System and version
    Eclipse version and build id
    MyEclipse version
    JDK version
    Steps to reproduce the problem.

With additional information we can determine if this is a server issue or if there is something we can do about it.
