Any one know why I’m getting this error?

    Danshin,

If you could post some additional information, which is outlined in the “Posting Guidelines” thread at the top of the forum, someone might be able to help. Without any context at all, it’s very difficult to have any kind of a response.

    Scott,
I’m running Windows XP Pro, Eclips 2.1.1 w/ Tomcat 4.1.

I can deploy my simple hello project from MyEclipse but when I try to type the url (http://localhost:8080/helloworld/hello.jsp) then it comes up with this error. This jsp nothing in it except a static string.

    Thank you,
    Dan

    Dan,

Since Windows plays games with cases, try referencing your JSP with an uppercase ‘H’, like …/Hello.jsp. Does that resolve the issue?

Also, you might try renaming the JSP to change the case and then referencing it both ways to see if the behavior changes.

Finally, use our JSP wizard to generate just the basic default JSP with the default name, MyJsp.jsp, into your project. Try referencing this JSP. Are the results the same or different?

    Scott,
I tried typing H for hello.jsp and that didn’t work. It gave me not available error.

I tried creating a new JSP page with wizard and left the name of the jsp page as MyJsp.jsp and that worked.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Dan,

Good to hear that it’s working for you now. At this point I’d just delete the old JSP and pretend it never existed. 🙂
