Just reviewing MyEclipse. Two missing features come to my mind:

1.) JavaScript debugging. Not only debug Java code in JSP, but also JavaScript. Including content of variables, ..

2.) A editor to modify & maintain properties files. Especially for multilingual properties like i18n or similar it would be useful to have this one included. There’re a few plugins around, but why not include it into the MyEclipse distribution?

Are you planning on implementing either of the above features?

    Thanks,
    Jörg

We have a few plugins on our TODO list that we may consider integrating down the road as this is a common function of developing web apps.

Seems like since myEclipseide.com is offering an

“end-to-end integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Web, CSS, <b>JavaScript</b>”

Then a JavaScript debugger would be a necessity. Most developers use debuggers without it what is our options (alert windows or system.out’s)…

Especially with the adoption of AJAX we are aware of the growing importance of Javasciprt support, our product managers (the ones that make the decisions) are keeping their ears to the ground to see what we can do in this area. It won’t happen over night but I was talking with one 2 weeks ago about this AJAX craze and he was fully aware of the reliance on Javasciprt and what it meant we needded to do.
