    JavaScript formatter inserts a new line before “else” statements even if it is unchecked in the JavaScript code formatter profile. There is no workaround but stop using the formatter for JavaScript files.

    This bug did not occur in the version we had before (2016 CI 2).

    Thank you for pointing to this issue. I could replicate it at my end. I have filed a bug for the dev team and the fix will be out with the MyEclipse 2016 CI 4 release due soon.

    MyEclipse 2016 CI 4 is out with the fix for the JS formatter bug. Please update to CI 4 from Help > Check for Updates and check.
