I don’t know quite what causes it, since I have since removed MyEclipse (JS / HTML / CSS editing has been too buggy and it seems like they are a lower priority right now so I can’t justify the purchase), but sometimes the JavaScript syntax highlighting will become corrupted…it seems like some kind of “offset” is getting off because only half of a word will be highlighted and then the other half of the next when it shouldn’t be.

Some things to try that might cause this: ctrl-d, alt-up and down.

I don’t follow your question, you uninstalled MyEclipse and can’t get JavaScript syntax highlighting to work quite right…. what product *are* you using? If you are infact still using MyEclipse, please post all the information we ask for in the posting guidelines.

This was happening with MyEclipse, which is the primary reason I uninstalled it. Sorry, I should have filed the bug before I uninstalled. But I thought I would be nice and post the bug anyway.

I am using Eclipse 3.0.1, I had myeclipse 3.8.3 installed on winxp, java version 1.4.1_02.

I do not have time to give exact steps to reproduce this issue. I hope that the time I have put in here to notify you of the bug is appreciated even with the little information I have provided. All I know is that after a while of editing, the syntax highlighting is off. I do use a lot of keyboard shortcuts such as alt-up and down and ctrl-d.
