Gareth42MemberHi All,
I used an Apple Mac running OS X 10.5.2 to run MyEclipse 6.0.1 GA and Eclipse Classic 3.3.2. I have enable JBoss 4 by setting the JBoss home directory but without changing any other arguments. When I start it the startup doesn’t complete but goes into debug and tries to load DTMManagerDefault. class. However, if I start the server from a terminal window it goes through just fine. This isn’t ideal because I still cannot deploy anything even when it starts ok.
Has anyone else got JBoss 4 to startup successfully on a Mac? I believe from my limited tests that everything is fine run with the same versions on Windows so I think the problem is Mac based but which product is causing the problem I just don’t know. I have the latest version (4.2.2) of JBoss but I’ve also tried with earlier versions with the same results.
Hope someone can help.
Gareth

Loyal WaterMemberGareth,
Have you configured the connector to point to a JDK? Can you refer to this thread and try what is mentioned here:-
http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2-printview-t-5638-start-0.htmlMay 29, 2008 at 10:38 am #285462
Gareth42MemberThanks for that but it didn’t help. I already had the JDK pointer setup and I’ve now changed everything in the JBoss home directory and below to read/write permission and still got the same problem.
As I said before, the same setup works under Windows. Has this been tested on a Mac?

Riyad KallaMemberGareth,
Can you flip to your Debug perspective, and open the Breakpoints view and do a Remove All… it’s almost like a ghost breakpoint is causing the stop on startup.June 2, 2008 at 1:16 pm #285559
Gareth42MemberWow, thanks. I would never have thought of that one or even believed it could be stopped that way. Server starts perfectly now thanks.
