Is JET support under MyEclipse disabled?
I cannot seem to ‘activate’ the JET support in New->Files->Other in MyEclipse, even though the plugin is installed.I did a fresh Eclipse Install, loaded the JET plugin, and have no problems.
This is because we ship this turned off. You can turn it on by going to Window > Prefs > General > Capabilities > Development > Advanced > “EMF/GEF/Draw2D/JEM” CHECK this one
hit OK, now you’ll see JET under File > New
Thanx. The flow was a little different on mine, it got me where I needed to go.
I often wonder what functionality in MyEclipse replaces other functionality in Eclipse standard, and what is not necessarily incompatble, but where for instnace , by using MyEclipse features, and I not using something else. A table would be nice.
For exampler, If I use the MyEclipse perspective for Java developer, am I using thje same editor as the Java Perspective, or are there added features?

I’m not aware of us replacing any of the base Eclipse functionality.

This is not determined by perspective, but instead of File and Content Type mapping. This is all under Window > Prefs > General > Editor > File Associations, and Content Type.
