I’ve just installed MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench v3.8.2 with Eclipse 3.0.1 and I can’t get the Jetty 5 launcher to work. The error I get is:

“Error starting Jetty: Jetty JDK name”

and the Event Details dialog box indicates there’s no stack trace available.

I’ve set the JRE in Preferences->MyEclipse->AppServers->Jetty5->JDK and I’ve enabled Jetty 5 (it’s the only appserver that shows up in the Eclipse drop-down box)

    I’ve got the 1.5 JDK installed….

Any hints are where I can go with this? Am I supposed to set additional parameters (like -jar start.jar) or something?

    I’ve set the JRE

As the error states, you need to set a JDK, not a JRE. Sorry for the confusion.

In the Jetty prefs under JDK you need to configure the launch to use a full JDK, not a JRE. Here’s the same problem, but with Tomcat. The fix is the same:
