M1 is running a pretty old version of jQuery (1.3.2) which is causing issues with the server my apps need to interface with.
Can it be uprevved to the latest (1.7.1)?

Clear! The 1.5 release planned for next week includes an option to choose which jquery version you wish to use, including 1.7.
Out of curiosity what server are you using?

Any idea when the new version is going to be released. I need to use a more recent version of jQuery as well.
