    hi all

    I changed the jre home to my jre 5 but it still reads jre 4 in the configuration.

    Window -> Prefernces -> Java -> Installed JREs -> and I tick jre 5.

    strange!!

    That JDK preference is used for compilation purposes. Eclipse resolves the VM from environment variables. For overriding the JDK eclipse runs on add this to your shorcut -vm “C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08\bin\javaw.exe”. Change the path to what is equivalent on your system.
