I am trying to create a managed bean for my JSF page and on the second page of the wizard I get Name is empty message. I can not see any place where I could have entered a name.

I am using the self install version since the installer for Mac does not work for me. The version of myeclipseide is 5.5.1 GA, build id: 20070521-5.5.1-GA. The version of Mac – OS X 10.4.9 (Power-PC, not Intel) and eclipse 3.2.2 with no extra extensions installed.

Ok, here is an interesting twist. If I create a class in the src/package directory, hightlight it, right click and select New Managed Bean I get the entire dialog box where I can enter a class, the name of the managed bean (for the config file), and the scope, package, etc.

So I tried creating a new bean by highlighting the project and it works now. Seems all I had to do was create class in the src directory.

    Interesting bug.

    ddl,
Can you post a screenshot of the first screen you mentioned? Are you invoking the wizard from the outline view in the faces-config.xml file editor?

I want to try and reproduce this.
