    hfl123,
We’ve asked one of our Linux devs to check this out. Hang tight please.

    Hello hfl123,

On our linux test machine which is ubuntu 7.0.4 (currently being upgraded to 7.10), I tried your exact scenario. I have no problem with opening the VIsual JSF Designer on a new XHTML file that uses the Facelets template.

Are you sure you aren’t opening it with the Visual JSP/HTML Designer? There are 2 separate editors for XHTML files, but if your opening a Facelets page it should automatically open in the JSF Designer editor instead. Do a right-click your file and go to “open with” > and just make sure that your opening the JSF Designer.

Pantein, thank you very much for sharing your fix with the rest of us. I’ve queued it up for addition to the FAQ with full credits.
