MyEclipse does somekind of JSP Indexing background task when a project is opened. I am having a problem with this particular feature.

I literally have thousands of JSP files in my projects and I typically need 2-3 projects open at the same time. Unfortunately the JSP indexing chokes up on this bulk of JSP, freezes the IDE, eats all the memory (ca. 2Gigs) and the IDE has to bail out with out of memory exception.

Is there any solution for this? Can I turn the indexing off?

This is a known problem with the indexer, it goes nuts eating memory so we actually disabled it in the 3.8.1 release and would encourage you to upgrade. Also the new installers for 3.8.1 (and manual install) on the site should have all 3 quick fixes we released after it applied to them already.
