    Dear sir or madam,

    First here are some specifications of the environment I use:
    1. Eclipse Version: 3.0.0
    2. MyEclipse Version: 3.8.4
    3. Window->Preferences->Java->Installed JREs: j2sdk1.4.2_05 is checked

    Problem:
    When I open Window->Preferences->MyEclipse, I don’t find the “Validation” node.

    What could be a possible reason for that?

    Best reagrds,
    Samar

    Samar,
    Do you mean that when you expand the “MyEclipse” node in the left hand panel, you do not see a “Validate” child node under it?

    If you are looking to adjust your validation settings per project, you can do that via your Project Settings.

    Dear Riyad,

    You picked exactly the problem:

    When I expand the “MyEclipse” node in the left hand panel, I do not see a “Validate” child node under it.

    What could be a possible reason?

    Samar,
    We have seen this problem before when MyEclipse is not installed ontop of the Eclipse SDK (~85/90mb) and is instead installed ontop of the Eclipse RCP, Platform or JDT. Please make sure you used the full Eclipse SDk download when you installed (unzipped) Eclipse.
