Installed: eclipse 3.2.2, myeclipse 5.5 M1, on Fedora Core 6 using JDK 1.5… when amending Java source, JVM termination exit code=1 is generated and eclipse disappears. the log shows problems with generating a snippet library, and a class not found exception for org.apache.crimson.parser.XMLReaderImpl
I will be able to add exhibits if needed. This problem also occurred with 3.2.1 and 5.4 and upgrading to the latest versions did not resolve the problem.

Can you paste the last few exceptions from your log file after a crash here? Also can you paste the information from your PID file created in the eclipse directory? And lastly, after starting up MyEclipse, can you paste the information from MyEclipse > Installation SUmmary > Installation Details here for me?

additional information… this bug consistently occurs during source code edit in eclipse… and is not a MyEclipse problem… have now verified that it still occurs with all versions of eclipse from 3.2.0 to 3.3.M5 without MyEclipse added in. will transfer attention to eclipse bug forum. thanks for assistance.
