P.HillMemberI don’t know what I have done or has gone wrong, but my problem is that some baisc IDE Java functions now no longer work. I wish to clean things up. How do I get back to a vanilla running state?
I have only one plug-in (that I know of), Subversive which seems to consist of:
“Subversive Plug-in (3 related)”
“Subversive SVN Team Provider (Incubation)”
“Subversive SVN Connectors”Otherwise I thought everything was just plain MyEclipse
I have MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 8.5
– 27 entries under Software – My Software with the name “… for MyEclipse” or “MyEclipse….”, plus
– A Subversive update site http://community.polarion.com/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site and
– A Galileo Discovery siteseems pretty clean to me.
So here’s the problem:
I clear the log, restart MyEclipse
I get a few odd errors (see below)
“Blocked recursive attempt to close part org.eclipse.ui.DefaultTextEditor while still in the middle of activating it”I have know Idea what this is about.
Then I get
“ClasspathContainer requery for classpath-string: com.genuitec.eclipse.cross.easystruts.eclipse”Struts is interesting, because I am working on a Struts application, but don’t recall playing with any EasyStruts settings. Personnally I just edit the XML myself, because I really don’t know about any of the fancier struts tools.
The next entry is
“Keybinding conflicts occurred. They may interfere with normal accelerator operation.
ParameterizedCommand(Command(org.eclipse.datatools.sqltools.result.removeAllInstances,Remove All Visible Results, ….This is weird, I don’t recall ever messing with any DB tools
****************************************
I’m not sure I care, until I try something ordinary like Ctrl-Shft-G (Search all Java occurrences) and it fails, generates another entry in the error log and pops up ‘Java search’ encountered a problem and internal error occurred during “Java Search”
The details are:
An internal error occurred during: “Java Search”.
Class file name must end with .classOpps now whatever is messed up is effecting my work! I want to fix this.
****************************************
So here is the full LOG after the search attempt:!ENTRY org.eclipse.ui.workbench 4 0 2010-06-24 10:10:04.350

support-joyMemberphill2005,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. I would recommend you perform a -clean. Please refer – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/
3. If the above doesn’t help, please switch to a new workspace, create a sample project and check if you still see any issues.Let me know how this works for you.

P.HillMemberI’m not using JFaces anywhere. Where is the setting that is assuming I want JFace support when doing anything? Can I turn it off or get rid of it?

support-joyMemberPhil,
The above log messages are expected issues that are logged in the .log file. I am afraid, currently there is no way to prevent them from being logged. We are working on removing them, meanwhile you can safely ignore for now.
I understand that the original issue stated was that some baisc IDE Java functions no longer works. Can you please clarify if they do now after performing -clean. If not, can you elaborate more on what IDE functions do not work. Please include detailed steps to reproduce.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
