Hello all,

I have a problem with my keyboard shortcuts, specifically and the one that annoys me the most is CTRL-F6 . Currently on my machine I have three different development tools all based on eclipse, including the original eclipse. All version are of the eclipse sdk are 3.2, my OS is Ubuntu 6.1.

Now on the one where I have the MyEclipse 5.1 extension the CTRL-F6 shortcut which is supposed to jump to the next editor it doesn’t do so. When I press CTLR-F6 the popup menu with the available files shows, but it just stays there, I then have to hit “enter” for the action to take place.

In my other environments this shortcut works as expected ie. Hit CTRL-F6 jumps to the next editor with no further keystrokes.

Any help will be greately appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in replying. On Windows CTRL-F6 brings up the list as you mentioned also ALT+LEFT/RIGHT shuffles through the editors…

the remapping is most likely inherited from WTP, I’ll make a note to look into it. Additionally you could modify it under Window > Prefs > General > Keys

Thank you for your reply, and maybe I didn’t post my question correctly. The problem is not changing which key will take that action, the problem is that on the Eclipse intallation where I have the MyEclipse extension, the same “function” occurs differently. Without me changing anything, on one Eclipse Bundle CTRL-F6 switches to the next editor immediately, and on the MyEclipse one the List just stays there until I press enter.

I checked under the keyboard configuration for both and “CTRL-F6” is under the Windows Category, and has the “Next Editor” command. That is the weird part 🙂

Well that’s even stranger… I’ll make a note of it, but I really don’t know why it’s being handled differently.
