Within the past 2-3 weeks, each time MyEclipse tries to update itself, my company’s AV is triggered (I’ve attached an image).

I suspect that this isn’t a real threat, but I’m blocked from updating. Coincident with this are long startup times.

    Suggestions?

I’ll be out for a week or so, so my response may be slow.

    Thanks for any insights.

    Todd,

    Thanks for reporting this.

Our releases are always checked for viruses and to our knowledge there are no known exploits though we are always happy to review reports from users.
The CodeMix Engine runs the external Node process and is expected, and is not an exploit. This is a generic warning about a program running external Javascript, but in our case, very intended and necessary. It is a false positive and you can report the same.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Todd,

Following your report, AVG removed this false positive in a recent AVG update, please wait at least 24 hours. If detection persists after 24 hours please help us with the following information:

    1. Attach a screenshot of your virus database version in AVG.

Open AVG ▸ Menu ▸ About
    2. Attach the screenshot including the detection dialog, with See details in the bottom-right corner displayed.

    Thanks again!

I’ve verified that the latest AVG update no longer blocks the CodeMix update.

    Thanks for your help.
