Yesterday I downloaded and upgraded MobiOne. I was using original download from April 2012 until now. I currently show Version 2.3.0 (201301107) installed and running.
I am rearranging my app with the iPhone 5 settings. When clicking on different parts of what I’ve laid out, the layout tab is blank and gives me no options for sizing and resizing, etc…. Is there a fix for this? I wasn’t able to find anything related.

Can you post a screenshot and post an example screen (.mobi) that illustrates this problem. We’ll dig in an investigate what could be goofing up.

Look for the camera button the toolbar of the Design Center.
I’m not very optimistic that a screenshot will provide the debugging details we need to understand what might be goofed. If it is not too large please attache a zip of your project including the Screen design files (.mobi) or the subset of files that demonstrate this problem.
Do you think my project files will show the error in your version? It seems to be software related. It’s the tab where you can select the arrows so things resize properly when going from portrait to landscape. There is a tab that says layout with nothing to follow. No matter what is selected.

I’ll leave it to you to decide what you want to share. Since we can not see your installation or design files or anything else we have only your verbal description which is insufficient for us to pursue any course of action. edited: I reread this and realize I might sound like a dick – apologies. Please share as much info as you can and we will investigate. Also if you can include your .log file that could prove helpful.

I’ve attached an example project and some photos to go along with it. I am not sure if you will see my issue in your software if you aren’t already having this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software.
On the older software the layout options on the property tab showed

Y
Width
Height
Auto-ResizeEvery project I’ve worked on these options aren’t there. I am setting up for iPhone 5.

Please share your .log file to investigate and see if we found something that helps us to understand the reason of problem. It is located at <user-home>/.mobione/runtime/.metadata/.log

Were the format of those files upgraded? Can you try creating a new design and verify that the problem is there too?The photos in the previous post were all from a new project that was opened and started after the new download was installed.
I’ve attached the log file.
Downloaded the 2.3.1 update today and now the program will generate all the files but the .html file needed. And the layout options are still unavailable.
After reviewing I uninstalled and reinstalled and the full installer.exe file doesn’t download completely to be able to run.
Again, I am using windows 7. I am reinstalling mobione 1.4.1, hoping these issues are resolved soon.

We inspected the log file and unfortunately it did not tell us anything definitive about your problem.
Q: what download program/browser are you using?

After this download all is working alright. I have had a few issues that I didn’t see any feedback that could help me correct.
1. When I setup the start up image and open the app,it opens to a blank white page and does not change over to the app. When I remove the start up image, it opens to the app directly without any problems.
2. I have a panel within a panel. When I scroll the inner panel it moves the outer panel. Is there anyway to lock the outer panel so that it does not scroll with the inner? When done scrolling the inner stays where i scrolled to and the outer pops back to place. The outer is the whole screen image. No need to scroll to see other parts of the page, it is all on one screen.
3. I have a select menu setup to open as a spinner with all the options available. When you select the box the spinner pops up sometime but with a quick view of the keyboard before the spinner appears. Sometimes you click the item box, the keyboard appears instantly than the spinner shows up right away then it all disappears and no spinner is present.
Start up image is working properly now as is the scrolling issue.
I have the select menu box setup to appear as a spinner on the iPhone 5, when you open the app up on the phone and tab one of the boxes on the select menu, very quickly the keyboard pops up and then it changes to spinner, or sometimes disappear. Sometimes it takes a few times to get the spinner to pop up correctly. If you press hard and kind of give it an extra milisecond of contact time the spinner seems to pop up without any issues.

I’ve copied some source code here, don’t know if its the right parts but maybe to see if the system is thinking anywhere before switching to the spinner of options that it is supposed to be a text input? Could this simply be a hardware issue? When opened on iPad compared to iPhone 5, the select list pops up with no issues. Without the extra second of contact, sometimes you see the keyboard in a flash then it turns to the spinner, or it turns to the spinners and goes away…iPhone5 issue you think?
