Do the Tomcat connectors supplied by myeclipseide support <CATALINA_BASE> not being the same as <CATALINA_HOME> ?
The Eclipse plugin for Tomcat 5.5 doesn’t cope with <CATALINA_BASE> being different to <CATALINA_HOME>, as is the case with our Tomcat builds, and certain clustered configurations. Visit http://bugs.eclipse.org and observe that bug 113484 requests this issue be resolved.

Our connector allows you to set custom Home, Base and Temp dirs for Tomcat. Is this what you are asking?Our connectors are not based on WTP which is what that bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=113484+) is referring to.
