At the moment, I’m coding an app with only 5 html pages, but a few hundred lines of Javascript. It also includes the Map widget.

For editing the Javascript, I am using Windows Notepad (yes, I’m old school…)

In order to test my Javascript changes, I hit Save in Notepad and the Reload button in Test Center. The reload times will become progressively slower. Eventually, Test Center will stop recognizing changes to the _custom.js file. At first, this can be overcome by restarting Test Center. Eventually, however, I will have to restart Mobione. I am developing under Windows 7.

    A couple of questions:
    1) does your app import additional JS libs
    2) can you estimate about how many edit-reload iterations are required before the Test Center fails to reload a change

    1. No. No other JS libraries or anything outside of the Mobione world.

    2. Usually between 4 and 6.

I’ve also noticed that it slows down reload to have other Java-intensive programs (browser, messenger programs) open at the same time.
