msmolerMemberSeems to be data sensitive (sorry can’t share file) — old version from CVS is bigger and has great number of Java, JSP and HTML errors — cut file size in half, removed errors, validated with Homesite and NitroX and Orion 1.5 JSP compiler — this new version won’t open — other files do — does contain a few struts tags (html:html and logic:equals)

Riyad KallaMemberHave you tried restarting MyEclipse using -clean on the command line? Have you tried creating a new Workspace (File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace, hit OK) and then rechecking out the project from CVS and seeing if it works? It sounds like a corrupt install or workspace issue.

msmolerMemberthis is one of ~50 JSP’s — switched back to MyEclipse 3.8.4 and Eclipse 3.02 and did not have problem — had tried -clean approach — will try re-creating workspace as time allows — Thanks

Scott AndersonParticipantM4 / Unable to create this part due to an internal error
Since this is the thread title, you’re not using Eclipse 3.1M4 as your build are you? I saw later that you stated it was 3.1 final, but any build but the actual final build could easily cause this problem when used with MyEclipse 4.0M2.
July 19, 2005 at 9:35 am #233230
msmolerMemberUsing Eclipse Version: 3.1.0 / Build id: I20050627-1435 (final). Further editing of JSP’s have altered whatever condition was causing the failure — can use this version (E3.1/M4) for now. Thanks for suggestions. However, E3.0.2/M3.8.4 have never had the problem.
July 25, 2005 at 11:22 am #233580
Vaskin KissoyanMemberI’m havint this same problem, and so is another developer here with 3.1/4.0M2, and it seems to be project specific. Whereas you can open up JSP files in one project but not another. We are also using cvs, however, not sure it’s related at all to cvs.
July 25, 2005 at 11:47 am #233584
Vaskin KissoyanMemberfixed mine by reviewing tags in the jsp that are dependant upon libraries that had been stripped out of the .classpath due to a faulty cvs check-in of a .classpath without the required taglib jars.
