I downloaded the manual installer, unzipped it and try to launch the MyEclipse_5.5M2_E3.2.2_installer application. Nothing happens. Looking at the console i get a NullPointerException in CallStaticVoidmethod().

Also the main class com.zerog.lax.LAX could not be found – hence the NPE. I would have cut and pasted the exception info in but I am at work and they do not let external machine access the network.
This seems to be the case of a corrupt installer. Could you please check whether the size of the installer you downloaded is similar to the size mentioned on the download page?

I checked the size and the md5 – both checked okay. I also downloaded it on two other networks and computers and did the same checks – the files look okay but the installer fails in the same way. I am running Java 1.5.0_07-164 on Mac OS X 10.4.9
Im sorry its not working. On some platforms the installer that InstallAnywhere generates just doesn’t run and it’s a pain-in-the-neck but nothing we can do about it that we haven’t already tried. The workaround for installer problems like this is just to download the Manual Install (it’s just a ZIP file). The instructions are included inside the download.
