I am preparing the update-installation for our house (100 MyEclipse Licences). I’ve tried to integrate MagicDraw to 7.1.0 but it doesn’t work. Last try: to copy dropins-folder to Commons from an Eclipse 3.4.1 installation (where it works!). Now I’m able to see MagicDraw, but it is impossible to create a new MagciDraw-Project.

    woeko,

MyEclipse doesn’t support an integrated MagicDraw. That being said, there are a lot of users who have integrated 3rd party plugins successfully. After adding the plugins for MagicDraw, if you are able to see MagicDraw and you aren’t able to create a new MagicDraw – Project. I would suggest you to click on Window > Customized Perspecitves. This will open the Customize Perspective window with default Shortcuts tab being selected. Select the Submenus: New, select Magic draw. Also look for Magic Draw in the next tab for Commands.

Where can I download the Eclipse plugin for MagicDraw? Do you have a link to update site for Magic Draw? I will try this at my end.

You have to download the typical professional installation. After starting MagicDraw you are able to select the menuitem “Integration”. That means, MagicDraw create the link-files in the link or dropins folder. After starting eclipse, you have to chance to the MagicDraw perspective and there you have to create a MagicDraw-project. And now, there is the mistake: at first, I have to create a java-project…sorry
