Right now I’m running 5.5M1. This problem also occurs with the released version.

    I’m running Linux 2.6.9-11.ELsmp #1 SMP Fri May 20 18:26:27 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux.

I’m connecting to the Linux machine using a PC with a monitor running at 1800 x 1440, connected via Reflection X.

I have my (Linux) windows laid out with two 80-char-wide terminal windows at the left using all available vertical space. I use the rest of the space for the MyEclipse IDE. Initially, none of the window is outside the physical boundsry of the X display area. As I use the system, opening and closing the IDE, the IDE gets slightly wider! I usually wait until the close box in the upper right corner is about half hidden before resizing the window so it fits again.

Odd… each time you load and reload the IDE it gets a few pixels wider? Are you sure it’s getting wider, or is it moving? Does this happen if you launch it locally? I cannot reproduce the “growing” behavior on Windows at the moment.

As far as the system is concerned, I’m launching the IDE locally to the X window. I keep the lift side of the IDE up against the termional windows and it’s not moving. Perspective switching ot minimize-restore may be involved. All I know is that I notice that less of the close button is showing. I can’t really try this outside the X environment because it’s the only monitor big enough for me to do any work on the IDE without maximizing it.
