I have MyEclipse for Spring version 8.6.1 installed on my machine. I have an old project that makes use of Matisse forms for a Java Swing application, however, I cannot edit the Matisse form as the utility does not appear to be included in the MyEclipse for Spring installation. How can I get the Matisse Swing Editor for my MyEclipse installation?

    Ernie,

I am afraid, I could not replicate this issue at my end. Please provide answers to below queries to help me investigate further –
    1. Open MyEclipse for Spring IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
    2. Could you clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate issue and copy and paste relevant .log here
    3. Have you added any third party plugins? If yes, could you list them here.

    Ernie,

Adding to the above, could you clarify the following –
    1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center and check if checkbox preceding “MyEclipse Visual Swing Designer (Windows / Linux Only)” feature is selected, indicating that Matisse feature is available?
    2. Could you try creating a new project and add matisse form? Are you able to add matisse form?

    Joy,

Thank you very much for your reply. It prompted me to go back and check my configuration. I actually had configured MyEclipse for Spring STS which apparently doesn’t include a number of ME tools in the install. I downloaded the standard MyEclipse for Spring and installed it instead. With the ME for Spring I have Matisse available and I’m good to go. I’m dissappointed that the other tools are unavailable in the ME for Spring STS (which is why I had installed it in the first place), but I can now proceed.

    Thanks

    Ernie

    Ernie,

Good to hear you are all set.

I’m dissappointed that the other tools are unavailable in the ME for Spring STS (which is why I had installed it in the first place), but I can now proceed.

In case you would like to add more features to the ME Spring STS, please post a feature request here – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topics/archive/myeclipse/spring-feature-requests/

    Best.
