I have a professional subscription, yet the Swing Perspective was not installed when I installed MyEclipse 5.1. Is there some other file I need?

    OARamirez,

You can install Matisse4Eclipse using Help>Software Updates>Find and Install and checking ‘Search for new features for install’ in the Install/Update wizard.

No other way? I seem to have network problems with our corporate firewall and cannot update Eclipse using the Software Update feature.

    OARamirez,

Try to set proxy using Window>Preferences>Install/Update.

I’ll chime in on this that it is a problem for some users. Where I work we’ve purchased 9 MyEclipse seats for machines which aren’t just behind a proxy – they have NO Internet access at all as they are on a secure network. The fact that you don’t even provide an archived update site which contains Matisse means that we don’t have access to that feature we paid for. Of course the purchase price of MyEclipse is more than justified by the features we do have, but I don’t see why you can’t at least make an archived update site available.

Any solution for this ? — i’m having the same issue — Why isn’t Matisse included in the installer ?

jhm is right. To play it safe we leave it on the update site for now, sorry for the confusion.

The quick way to get it is to launch the Help > Software Updates > Find and Install…, then select “New Features” then select the MyEclipse Discovery Site and hit Next.
