Hello,

I’m a little confused – is it OK to install WTP alongside ME 4.1? I understood that there was a problem w/ earlier versions, but am unclear on using the latest of each together.

I’d like to take advantage of some of the WTP webservices tools, but don’t want to destabilize my ME installation.

We discourage people to do that typically, but if you really need the combination of tools you can try it, try and keep track of everything you installed with WTP and be able to remove it if it doesn’t work though. Or better yet, setup a parallel install of Eclipse 3.1.2, MyEclipse 4.1 and WTP 1.0.

WTP conflicts with ME in many ways – for example, XML content assist is broken if you install them together. We are planning to resolve these problems for the 5.0 release – the changes we have to do are huge and require heavy testing.
