    Dear all,
I dont know if eclipse or myeclipse has some trouble to clean the memory. If i use the JSP and XML editors, after a moment the system comes very slow… problemes with cut and paste, scrolling very slow…
After running the garbage collector all is ok -> (before: memory available 13,867 after: 70,238)
I’ve to do it evry 30mins!!

    Any solutions?
    Thanks

    Mac osx 10.3.5, G4 1.5ghz 1024mb, eclipse-myeclipse last release

What command line arguments do you run Eclipse with? If you don’t, we highly suggest atleast adding:

    -vmargs -Xms128m -Xmx256m

to your shortcut that launches Eclispe. Eclipse 3 requires about 2x as much memory as Eclipse 2, and MyEclipse is an addition of about 140 more plugins ontop of that, so the combination of the two definately love memory.

    Yes I know… I’ve:

    <string>-Xms100M</string>
    <string>-Xmx250M</string>

I think thats the the memory is’t cleaned after closing the editors…
If I put more XM, sometimes the available memory still falls bellow 10 mb.

What version of MyEclipse are you using? (Help > About > Click MyEclipse button), there was a lingering indexer bug that eats up memory when refactoring, the fix is here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/PNphpBB2+file-viewtopic-t-4498.html
