I try moving a package named “model” into “project.logic” and it tells me that I cannot move a package to its own parent. why? The other way is to go and move each of the java source files inside this package, one by one or by selecting them all. Either way is less cleaner. How can I move entire packages?

    Thanks,

right-click on the package and select Refactor > Move….

That is exactly what I’ve done – Right clicking the package and selecting Refactor>move bring up a dialog where you can select to the dest location, but it does not allow me to move the package to say a sibling folder.

    Erez,
Ultimately refactoring is provided by the base Eclipse IDE, so there isn’t much we can do if “Move” isn’t performing as you feel it should (I just want to clarify where our functionality leaves off and Eclispe picks up)
