    Hi folks, Hi support team,

I’m using MyEclipseIde for over one year now, and I’m verry happy with the stability and functionality. But working in a very complex project right now, I have to deal with the eclipse feature of opening a new window and edit a couple of files module specific. For example: Login jsp’s, java and XML/XSL Files in one window, user maintenancefiles (Forms, jsp’s, xml, xsl…) in another window and so on and so on. It’s very easy to work with multiple eclipse windows, and if you exit or restart eclipse all windows will be there with the same files in it. So that’s nice. But some files are common so they should be visible in each eclipse window. There is no problem to open the same file twice with all the eclipse editors, and there is also no problem to open a file twice for example with the xml-buddy. But all the myEclipse editors are not able to do that. I got always the message: Unable to create this part due to an internal error. Reason for the failure: The resource xyz.xml is already in use by another editor. Simultaneous editor access to this resource is unsupported.

Are you planing to implement simultaneous supprt? Because otherwise my company is not able to go further with the use of myEclipseIde.

    Thank’s and best regards
    Frank

    Frank,
Work on multi-editor support was paused for the time being due to pressing requirements for other bug fixes and new features. There are plans to address this though, but management has not targetted this work for a specific release yet. To be honest, this si the only time a user has asked for it. If your subscription base is sizable that will certainly bump the priority for us to get this done, just let us know.
