I have MyEclipse on two different machines, my desktop and my laptop. Occasionally I will switch to my desktop (normally I use my laptop for all my development work) … however it complains about licensing on my desktop, despite the fact that MyEclipse is not running on my laptop at the time. How can I resolve this issue?

When it complains and reports the IP addresses, are they different? What version of MyEclipse are you using? Some of this was addresses in 4.0 and I think 4.1.

Well, both machines are on the same network — and perhaps it just knows that MyEclipse was installed on that other machine… but I would think that if MyEclipse is not running on my laptop, that it wouldn’t complain. Both are using the lastes (4.1) version of MyEclipse.

I just tried it again, and it is currently not complaining about the other instance, so perhaps it was something that got cleared out by closing and restarting MyEclipse.

Yes actually the way the license manager works is that if you are opening and closing a 2nd instance you will need to restart both to reset it. Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully it won’t get in the way too often.
