I have a web application that I would like to deploy to more than 1 Tomcat 6.x location. My current deployments for this single app are:

    1) MyEclipse Tomcat – Sandbox for developing (Windows)
    2) Tomcat 6.x – Local machine for testing outside MyEclipse (Windows)

    I want to add a 3rd

    3) Tomcat 6.x – Remote production machine (Linux)

I can’t see where I can do this as the Preferences does not seem to have an Add for other deployments of the same version

    Thanks in advance (TIA)

    Frank,
Why don’t you deploy to a custom location and then manually add the generated war file to your Remote Server ?

    Nipun,

That is what I am doing now… but the request is to be able to get the benefit of hot-deployments, debuging, etc…. It wasn’t a question of could I deploy the war file, I wanted another Tomcast deployment.

You can create an “exploded” custom location deployment to that locally mounted remote location. That will help you acheive what you want.

The workarounds understood, it is still a request to support it so it is consistent with other WebApp server deployments.

Is there a feature/bug request place other than the forums?

The Feature Request forum is the only place where you can post the request and thats where it will get noticed.
