Well this is a serious problem for me as most of the apps im doing is about streaming music on the apps.

Before the 2.5 update music playing in background while the screen went off or screen is lock was working perfectly on my android apps. But now as soon the the screen is lock the audio stops. why?

I bought mobione just to build those kind of apps but now its not working as before :/ how shall I proceed to get that working again?

I escalated this topic to our developer that implemented the recent audio widget and api changes.

What android device(s) and os versions are you seeing this behavior?

I’m not certain there is much that we can do regarding background audio at this time as it has never been officially supported. In MobiOne 2.5 we reimplemented the audio player functionality and api to work more reliably across platforms and we upgrade to a much more recent version of the Cordova/PhoneGap SDK. Since we have never supported any level of services (audio, gps, …) for the non-active app we don’t test for such differences.

I test my app on a Samsung S3 mini : V 4.1.2

Something weird is if I build the app as a web version and compress to build the apk in Phonegap the background audio works great! but I can’t publish to google play as its says the apk is in debug format and I dunno how to change that. :/

Interesting. Are you using MobiOne’s App Center Builder service to create the app that google play complains about? Also, can you verify that google play actually prohibits apk upload and is not just a warning? Lastly can you post an screenshot of any error msg(s)

if I build in mobione and upload on google play without errors but no background music

If i build in phone gap and upload on google play I have an error message that I can’t upload a debug apk but with the apk i get background music

PhoneGap Build has an option for a debug build, make sure that is not selected.
